Love The Convo On Authors

May 5, 2009

Allo Ladies,Gents, And Its! Its Opus!..again. Sorry ’bout the double post, but it has been raining for 4 days now and i got bored.  I see Steller from www.stellercheats.wordpress.com has quit. And as a shout out to her as requested by a friend, though the phrase i am yet to fuly comprehend, LOVE THE CONVERSATION ON AUTHORS. He can explain this if he wants, i dunno if stella would understand it, i sure don’t LOL. Anyways, ever wonder why most people leave? Well i wondered this too, but now i understand, and i discussed this with Olly( if you remember him ) on WLM. Olly said that he quit because of all the stupid drama that happens on wordpress, the petty arguments, and everyone talking about everyone behind everyones backs, and i quite and agree with him, and before you tell us to grow a pair and put up with it think about how stupid most fights on wordpress are, and pointless. Another reason is that blogging isnt worth it sometimes, and it gets boring. Or if a computer breaks you cannot get on, and usually thats the case, other times people get busy with other stuff and forget about their blog.

Ways to make your blog more active:

1. ADVERTISE! Do not expect the people to come to you, you bring the people to you

2. Post! They won’t  come if you dont keep it updated!

3. Pimp Your Blog! Make them think ”THIS BLOG LOOKS COOL!”

4. Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life! BEEEE HAPPYY!!

5. Dont be negative, be positive, and all will go well.

Farewell Friends,

                                          Opus!

May 2, 2009

Tired of constantly hearing about The Recession? Tired of opening the funnies and seeing the comic Marvin must constantly try to mention the recession with the grandparent characters? Tired of hearing about the newly named Swine Flu? Tired of hearing about Democrats And Republicans going at each others throats? Well do not fear! This post will avoid all reference to that annoying crap. Today we talk Favorites. First i list my favorite authors:

5. H.G Wells

4. Jack london

3. Dr. Suess

2. Jules Verne

1. Mark Twain

Now for favorite Planet:

My Favorite planet is Neptune. Why Neptune? Because it has the fastest winds in the solar system, it is blue, it’s natural satellite Triton might have water in it and possible could sustain life, its the last planet in the solor system, it is one of our most mysterious planets, and it gives somewhat of a illuminous calming feeling when seen in picture. Great planet tis is.

Now to new horizons. Did you know that a spacecraft called New Horizons is on a voyage to Pluto to observe and send the first pictures of pluto. It should be there in 2015.

I am happy to say i’ve never twatted :D

I am learning German right now

Well thats all from me!

Breakfast With My Shadow

April 19, 2009

So spring break was pretty nifty. I saw everything in Washington D.C that I wanted to see, so I guess it was satisfying. My mama + my little brother were killing me with the whole tourist thing - taking pictures of EVERYTHING, asking EVERYBODY directions, insisting on taking the trolley EVERYWHERE….but I can’t complain because I have no money to fund the expenses for that trip and being a tourist is the whole point of vacations. But yeah. I hope you all (or just Zipo if it’s just Zipo reading this) had a good break.

Jeez my esophagus is hurting like heck. My capillaries are screaming. I feel like I’ve just ran a mile. I hate being sick.

Umm. Well prom is next week. That will be cool.

I feel really submissive…but it’s hard for me to explain because it’s just too vague of a topic. Dude. Luke chapter 15 is killing me, I think. Also, I got laid into at jazz band practace yeterday, because I haven’t been practicing like I should. My solo sounded like crap. I’m humiliated.

We’re reading Romeo and Juliet in English. I’m Benvolio. I hate the whole story. Stupid kids. But I like Benvolio y Mercutio okay.

So this girl I know was talking about stereotypes and hypocrisy. It was a pretty heated discussion actually. She goes on about how people catagorize goths and wannabe-athletes and smart asses and druggies and how wrong it is. Then she gets on the topic of “preps” and I didn’t even know what a prep was. So I asked her and she said that they were people that wore a lot of expensive clothing and talked a lot about shallow things. And she said that she personally didn’t like “those kind of people, because they are ignorant and hypocritical” But then I got even more confused because two minutes before she was telling me she thought stereotyping was stupid. So I tell her this. And she got pissed. And won’t talk to me.

This is my girlfriend that’s pissed too. It’s so tiring.

Also. I don’t like people who talk to me about all of things that they have exposed me to. Music. Movies. Ect. They automatically expect credit for things that I love just because they happened to influence me to love those things in the first place. Like if someone sees their favorite band on my iPod that they had previously recommended, they get all excited and their egos rise to insanity. Or if they tell me they love this movie and I go out and rent it, they don’t ask me if I liked it, they talk about how much they liked it. I mean….I do appreciate it, if someone suggests I watch or read or listen to something, and I end up enjoying whatever I watch or read or listen to. But sharing something isn’t supposed to boost your self esteem. It’s about how much a person loves something you share. Does this make any sense? I know I’m ranting…it’s just something that irritates me.
“I would give someone a record so they could love the record, not so they always know that I gave it to them”
-the perks of being a wallflower.

Gosh, I’m sorry about the ramblings.  I have nowhere else to write these things down. Hey as soon as I practice a little bit, I’ll come back and update the Entertainment page. I promise.

Here listen: it’s music! Time To Pretend – MGMT. It’s kinda techno. Kinda. Listen to it!

And now for something completely different

April 4, 2009

I have been in this ”blogging” business for almost 2 years now, and I feel that my timer has ran out. All my old friends, with the exception of Brian,Zipo, Narnia, and Steller, have either quit or have started ignoring old friends for new *cough* not naming anyone*cough*.  Since I have been through a lot in wordpress I will miss it, and may pop in a few times later. As far as I am concerned my time has been up, all these new bloggers about, and me being here from the time of posting and actually responding to peoples comments, such a trait died long ago.. Infact many people don’t even conceder the thought of actually going to their blog and seeing whats going on. I am terribly sad that this has happened but it has, the age of me being here is over, I am an artifact who does not make interesting posts anymore, I am an old man in blogging years, but this is okay for I accept this, and it could not have come in better time. I am now starting to think about track, I am biking more(even did 28 miles today in the hilly ups and downs of the Ozarks), and i am climbing more mountains in the summer. I have tests to take at school and more socializing to do. I have enjoyed my blogging years, I have enjoyed working at the sites I work a only the fact that when I leave noone will remember me will depress me. Everyone that actually gave a damn have left except for a few. I will definitly miss those already gone away, some without a mention. Those people are

Olly(still talk to him on MSN though)

Logan(long gone somewhere)

Spongekid3(i dunno)

Giambinny(still I dunno)

Josh(did the same as me but earlier, sad really but i still email him)

Mark(pengi, left without a trace)

I cannot recall any others. Sorry if you were forgotten, I know how it feels.

So yes, i quit, It is not out of pite, depression,or just plain boredom, but out because I know I don’t go on here a lot, and I know you know too. So Cheer up, and Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life! :D

Opus Out, Peace Out. (Monty Python, and George Carlin For Ever *hold up peace sign*) ( BUSH SUCKS!) (Obama Rules) (And Now For Something Completely Different…. The End Of Opus)

Bankrupt A Blue Sky

April 4, 2009

Hey. What’ s up?

I finished my wallet. :)

Hey so it’s almost been a year since I started my first blog. Look how much has changed… Anger Management was my best blog and it was less lonely. I posted like every 3 days and had around 200 hits every 24 hours. But it’s okay. This blog kinda represents a mellow-er personality of mine. It’s quiet and nearly everybody has left (thank you for your loyalty Zipo7…and Npengi.) but it’s still running. And I’m still here. If you have any questions or just want to talk to Peaceoutdude, then go ahead.  I. Am. Still. Here. Where’d everybody else go? Don’t tell me you’re busy because everybody is busy. How about every time you sit at your computer to do homework or check your facebook, look up on a few blogs. Make somebody’s day. Say hello every once in awhile.  Yeh get it?

Yeah. So anyways…spring break is finally here for me. Tomorrow I’m going to yet another drumline competition, a party or two, and catching up on sleep. Sunday = church. Monday = Airport. I hate airplanes. I really do. Wish me luck. Next week = Washington D.C :) I’m not a real history guru but I think I’ll enjoy it. I’ll take some pictures of important things like my shoes and the road map and the hotel continental breakfast sign.
I hope you all had or will have a great Spring Break. (Stupid education board banned Easter Break  )

Ummmm….what else. Did you guys hear about San Diego state college accidentally sending like acceptance forms to 26,000scarybunny rejects? Yeah…I thought it was hilarious.

Ummmmm…….I dunno. I’m really tired. My throat hurts. I hope it’s not Strep because I’ll kill myself if I’m sick over Easter break. By the way, watch out for those Easter Bunnies. Some are actually fat hairy men in costumes. Is that not the scariest thing you’ve ever seen? —->

Princess Buttercup is a Stupid Name.

March 20, 2009

3OH!3 is playing in our city in two weeks. It’s an AP tour…lots of mainstream radio crap, but I like this band. I’m stoked. I’m writing this long list of concerts I’ve seen and that I need to see, but you guys probably don’t care about reading it so I’ll keep it on my bedroom wall.

Is anybody going to see any concerts playing in their area any time soon? If so tell me about it. :)

Yeeahhh so it’s almost April. The school year is nearly over. This year has been weird.

You know how in tv shows whenever someone is having a bad day it rains? And their walking home alone in the dark and a car next to you drives through a puddle creating a splash of muddy water that completly drowns you immdediatly making you feel ten times worse? Haha yeah, that just happened to me. Tide2Go sticks are my heros. :)

So where is everyone? I’ve been talking to Zipo…we’re beginning to wonder if this is the end. Depressing is it not? That’s why you should take 3 seconds to comment this post, so it doesn’t get lonely all the time. Ya dig?

Here: Thought you might like this. It’s a poster on how music effects (affects?) your SAT score.

I just re-read this post and it’s RIDDLED with gramatical errors. My sincerest apologies. I’ll fix it in the morning.

Back In The U.S.S.R

March 3, 2009

Halito! Opus Here! I just finished listening to an awesome Beatles song and felt like making this post.[guess which one;)]I was inspired to make this one type of post when I was listening to this song in our local Books A Million. I was searching through Oxford Classics and thought, lotsa stuff here I could make fun of. And soooo..Here I am ;) . This post will contain subtle cultural references that you will have to find yourself. Now to my story..

“I was walking along the long, narrow rows of our local Books-A-Million when I noticed a book I may like reading, I thought ‘my my this looks like a good book, looks like 4 or 5 books still in stock neatly stacked togethor. I took one of the books and saw i had picked up all 5 of the books, i then saw it was not 5 books but 1. I was shocked. I put the book down, walked away and though,’WHAT THE HE**!!!  This dude had no life to write such a long book! Good lord!’ I walked away from the aisle and would never want to see another ” War and Peace” book again.  I then walked to  the comic section and read my favorite comic,Pearls Before Swine, and sat down on  a seat. I sat there for quite some time while boys and girls of my age walked past looking at the nearby magna books ,which are written backwards and opens from the back, and some adults look at new romance books. Then a lady that loked middle aged and a man walked past swifly in the aisle in front, the comics, of me. The lady said ‘And do tell, whats this aisle about?’. My right brain,as Lewis Black would put it, then said to my left side of the brain ‘its dark in here’ ‘i think everything stopped’. I was sitting there looking where the lady and man used to be with my eyes wide open thinking i better not think of this for long seeing how blood my come out my ear and nose. I then resumed reading about the crocodiles and angry rats in my facorite comic.”

I shall name that ”The Books A Million Story” thank you, thank you :D *crickets*

I shall now listen to Revolution 9 while reading Animal Farm and begin by decent into madness. ;)

(Yes Frontwards and Back wards  )

I Can Live Up To Dr. Mengele’s Standards.

February 28, 2009

So much time as passed. Since the last time I’ve eaten microwave popcorn. I went downstairs a minute it ago, and there it was shiny plastic package sitting on top the instant pudding. And now it’s in the microwave. 1:25 to go. :)

Hey…so how are you guys? What’s up? Talk to me about your day. My day sucked but that’s okay. I’m on facebook and it’s weird because hardly any one’s online…because so many people gave facebook up for lent. It’s really amazing how addicting facebook is to some…enough to give it up for lent. I mean I log on like every 3 days to check messages, but some people never leave.

I finally finished The Catcher in the Rye. The book report was due like 3 weeks ago (I used sparknotes to get it done it time) But last night I finished. It was good. I can’t think of anything else to describe it….

Um what else… 3 different concerts coming up. Something to look forward to. Spring break too.

I’m sorry I can’t think of anything good to talk about in this post. I feel like a failure :(

But I have music if anyone’s willing to listen! I was gonna post some of The Police, but I found this instead:

I’m not sure if you guys would like it, but I thought it was kinda cool. I put it on my ipod when I’m walking to school.

Socks Clinton Dies At Age 18

February 21, 2009

Post from yahoo

——————————

BALTIMORE – Socks, the White House cat during the Clinton administration who waged war on Buddy the pup, has died. He was around 18.

Socks had lived with Bill Clinton’s secretary, Betty Currie, in Hollywood, Md., since the Clintons left the White House in early 2001.

Currie confirmed Socks’ death Friday evening and said she was “heartbroken.” She did not give details, referring calls to the Clinton Foundation office.

The foundation released a statement from the Clintons:

“Socks brought much happiness to Chelsea and us over the years, and enjoyment to kids and cat lovers everywhere. We’re grateful for those memories, and we especially want to thank our good friend, Betty Currie, for taking such loving care of Socks for so many years.”

Socks had reached his late teens — an advanced age for a cat — when reports surfaced in late 2008 that he had cancer and Currie had ruled out invasive efforts to prolong his life.

“It’s not a happy prognosis,” presidential historian Barry Landau, a friend of Currie’s, said at the time.

Socks was what feline-lovers call a tuxedo cat — mostly black with white down the front and belly and on his feet, suggesting a fashionable dandy in a black satin evening jacket with a snowy shirt peeping out. He had markings that looked a bit like a mustache and goatee.

Chelsea Clinton’s pet first appeared in the news in November 1992 after then-Gov. Bill Clinton won the presidency and the family was the still in the governor’s mansion in Little Rock, Ark. Socks became an early symbol of privacy-vs.-media in the Clinton era when photographers got a little aggressive as he took a stroll outside.

Life changed for Socks in the White House, when his easy access to the out-of-doors was necessarily curtailed. One official conceded that, yes, Socks was on a leash while outside.

Things took a turn for the worse in late 1997, when then-puppy Buddy, a chocolate retriever, arrived. Relations between Socks and Buddy were cool from the beginning.

“I’m trying to work that out,” Clinton joked at the time. “It’s going to take a while. It’s kind of like peace in Ireland or the Middle East.”

A few weeks later, in early 1998, the two pets had an encounter on the South Lawn. “A very agitated Buddy approached the cat and began barking as the president restrained him with a green leash,” The Associated Press reported. “Socks, hair raised high, stood his ground until Clinton and Buddy made their exit to the Oval Office.”

But their pairing enchanted pet lovers, especially children. In 1998, then-first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton put out a book of children’s letters to the two pets in “Dear Socks, Dear Buddy.”

“Can you please send me a picture and a paw print,” one youngster wrote Socks. “Do you have fleas? I think my cat has fleas.”

In the book, the first lady wrote she had been taking daughter Chelsea to a piano lesson in spring 1991 when they spotted two kittens in the music teacher’s front yard. “The black one with white paws — Socks — jumped right into (Chelsea’s) arms,” she wrote.

After the Clintons left in early 2001, Socks moved in with Currie. Buddy, meanwhile, made the move with the Clintons to Chappaqua, N.Y., but he was struck and killed by a car the following year.

Socks continued to live quietly with Currie, sometimes making appearances at programs held by pet welfare groups. Landau said Socks enjoyed sitting in the sun and that Currie doted on him, cooking him special chicken dinners.

Coincidentally, the White House cat in the Bush era, India, died Jan. 4 at 18, just weeks before Bush left office. Bush daughter Barbara, then 9, named the shorthaired black cat after former Texas Rangers player Ruben Sierra, nicknamed El Indio.

Like Socks, India had to share the White House with the canine side: the Bushes’ Scottish terriers, Barney and Miss Beazley, who were immortalized in Internet videos.
